The Disciples of Christ Historical Society (DCHS) has decided to revive its periodical “Discipliana” as a scholarly and fully refereed journal sponsored by the Society. The new title will be “The Journal of Discipliana” and the venue for publication will be solely online. All published articles and reviews will be published in an “open access” format.
Content eligible for publication will include scholarly treatments (historical or contemporary) of all aspects of the Stone-Campbell Movement utilizing perspectives and methodologies provided by any of the disciplines currently active in religious or theological studies (theology, bible, history, ethics, practical theology, religion and art, ethnic and cultural studies.)
DCHS is pleased to announce that Mark G. Toulouse, Emeritus Professor of American Religious History at Brite Divinity School, has agreed to be the General Editor of the “The Journal of Discipliana.” An Editorial Committee will serve alongside Toulouse to review and commission articles. Managing Editor is James L. McMillan, DCHS Archival Associate.
